IGS delivers airborne geophysics training workshop to Geological Survey of Pakistan

IGS delivered a 2 week workshop focused on geophysics for mineral exploration to the Geological Survey of Pakistan (GSP) in June under the UK FCDO technical assistance REMIT (Revenue Mobilisation, Investment and Trade Programme) project. The workshop is part of a more extensive training series delivered by IGS,  and supported by the Adam Smith International. The workshop was delivered to GSP’s geophysics team by IGS geophysicists Feargal Murphy and Mohammednur Ture. The workshop was focused on the application of airborne geophysics for the Pakistan mineral exploration context but also covered elements of ground geophysics and UAV surveys. The IGS trainers very much enjoyed the workshop and it was a fruitful two-way learning experience with a highly engaged and experienced team from GSP who extended their very warm hospitality and enthusiasm to the IGS team.
