IGC meeting in LondonIGC Mining Sub-Group

IGS has been part of the UK-Kazakh Intergovernmental Committee (IGC) for several years and regularly attends meetings of the IGC and the Mining Subgroup both in the UK and Astana.

The latest IGC meeting took place on 11th December in London where updates to the Kazakh Mining Code were discussed, as well as hearing from Kazakh representatives on the future of the mining industry in Kazakhstan.

IGS is part of a consortium who have been working with the Kazakhs for some time to help enable the country to realise its ambitions of diversifying from a hydrocarbon-based to a more mineral-based economy.

We look forward to continuing our work with our partners in 2018.
