IGS is pleased to announced the arrival of our new Senior Geophysicist, Dr. Feargal Murphy.

Following a 1st class BSc in Geophysical Science at University College Dublin and a PhD in Global Seismology at Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies, Feargal embarked on a career in airborne geophysics with Sander Geophysics Ltd where he held operational, data processing and research responsibilities, directing survey crews in more than 15 countries across the Americas, EAME and Australasia. Feargal has had a key role in early commercial deployments of the Falcon gravity gradiometer and Sander AIRGrav systems. He transitioned to a primarily interpretation role with ARKeX Ltd where he led projects integrating potential field, seismic and geological data primarily for hydrocarbon clients and managed the interpretation department for several years. Following a brief period as an independent consultant, Feargal has now joined IGS where his main task is to manage a large airborne QA/QC project in India.

On joining IGS, Feargal said “I am very happy to join IGS and look forward to managing projects internationally, as well as developing new business for the company”.

Peter Zawada, Managing Director of IGS, commented “IGS warmly welcomes Feargal who adds considerable experience to the company and who I am sure will make very useful contributions to future projects”.
